I’m going to show you how to descale this guy right here. This is the descale Philips Lattego 3200, and this procedure works for the Philips Lattego series, all the same 1200, 2200, 3200.

There are just a few steps to go through before we get to the steps, real quick.

There are a couple of disclaimers that they show you in the Philips manual.

• No sulfuric,
• No hydrochloric,
• No sulfamic or acetic acid.
• That means vinegar.

1: Empty machine

• We gotta prepare it. So you gotta remove the latte go.
• You gotta go ahead and remove the ground’s cash tray and empty that guy.
• And then also, if there’s any water inside the tank, empty the water,
• if you have an aqua clean filter in there, remove that guy.

If you just recently put this in, you can put it back in. Otherwise, if it’s old, you can replace it with a new one.

2: Prepare our solution

• Now we have to prepare our solution. So just like usual,
• We need to put our descaler, and it’s a full bottle,
• And then we need to fill it up with water right here.

Now all we have to do is make sure that we have a reservoir that is a 1.5 liters or more.

3: Start descale Program

Now beep. And now I can start the process of descaling by pressing the play button. It’s going to take about 30 minutes in total.

By the way, while you’re waiting for the descaling process to finish, you know what happens is it takes a break.

It pumps and takes a break, lets that descaler solution kind of sit in there for a bit.

It’s got some pretty gross crud on there. And this really works excellent too, to get rid of that stuff.

But what we can do in the meantime is take some of the Philips descaler CA6700 solution, because it’s really good cleaner, and clean some of that crud off of there.

Alrighty, we are 14 minutes in, and it’s telling me, oh, no more water.

4: Rinse

• So we’ve gone through the first sequence. That was the descaling, and now we’ve got to do the rinse.
• So we’re going to empty out our descale Philips Lattego solution here. We’re going to empty out our drip tray.
• We’re going to empty out any remaining solution here, then give this a rinse,

So I’ve got my rinse water in the water tank,

Now we can do our rinse cycle to start that, all you gotta do is press play.

So it’ll take about three minutes to go through all that water,

Alrighty, so it’s already finished the rinse cycle,

and actually there’s some water left in there,

What I’m going to go ahead and empty the rinse container.

I’m going to go ahead and empty the drip tray again, and now we can go ahead and prepare a water tank again.

I’m just going to drain that rinse water. I’m going to put in the water filter.

Now, just fill it up with fresh water, and you’re good to go.

How to activate the Aqua Clean water filter

Now, while we have already finished the descaling process,

You do have to activate the Aqua Clean water filter inside in order to do that.

if you put a new one in, or in my case, mine was pretty much fresh.

How to fix the milk foam problem

Now, if there’s just one more thing to check, let’s see if the machine will out-foam milk properly.
